Okay, so the solution to the issue is to mark the add-on broken and effectively stop the add-on from working completely for everyone... because I didn't have time to reply...

Thanks for the report. Currently it works with some age-restricted content, and not others. For example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtVdAasjOgU works, and is also age-restricted. It is something to look into further.

alpha6 is available from the usual places, this should resolve age-gated material that wasn't working

I don't have the ability to detect what hardware is capable of which codec at which resolution. So at this time no, sorry.

I haven't ignored any suggestions, if you can point me to them I'd be happy to take a look. I'll double check next chance I have, but I'm pretty sure...
