The bug appears to have been introduced in 4406ae9 with the upgrade of Bubble Tea from 12.2 to 13.4, as downgrading it again fixes the issue for me

Is it possible to call xml-maven-plugin by passing only the initial template to be executed?

I found this issue because I had a similar requirement of transforming XML files loaded from a directory using the `collect` function and merging them into a single output file...
