adding `android:bufferType="spannable"` seems to fix the problem, but i don't know exactly why. Maybe someone coudl explain the issue.

please merge this feature. It helps to make Apps that are consistent between Web and Android.

Same information in `galen -v` on Mac OS but everything is working as expected.

A possible workaround is to use `@import` for this special use case. Note that `@import` can also be used in combination with `@if`.

Any idea when this can be merged and released? This bug makes strict_variables kind of useless :(
