I didn't get your issue, anyway Go to the auto complete edit text custom class and look into the functionality currently existing. Surely you can modify what you are looking...

In the Model class MentionPerson.java there are 2 method... please look into the class...the method getFormattedValue() gives you the displayed out... If you want to display the name only then...
