I think `--` is fine for comments. While parsing text files in C is hard, reviewing it is even harder so thank you for helping out reviewing, @c-max !

The problem with this issue is the same as in issue #16. If we generate, let's say `A`, while long-pressing, say `Control_L`, what is actually being put out is `Control_L+A`...
xcape does not block any key events, so I am assuming that pressing Alt while the menu is open closes the menu, no matter if xcape is running or not?
Completely blocking the key events is different from just listening to them, yes. And it is not something that I ever intended xcape to do. It would be cool though...
