A work around would be to edit the file `~/.local/share/steam-shortcuts/steam-buddy.flathub.yaml` and manually remove the extraneous shortcuts. You can do that from the command line with ssh or through ftp.

The idea is to hide RetroArch because it is not user friendly. If you would like to use RetroArch, then Steam RetroArch is always an option.
