I have not been able to create a small test case that consistently shows this error, but I have discovered that skipping the pubsub emulator makes the error go away....

Are there any plans to fix this? It seems like `response.ok` is true even for 401 responses.

Yes, I've thought about that. It's been a while but as far as I can remember there were some issues with assigning arbitrary `id` attributes to elements to make anchor...
