I cannot reproduce this after a restart, might be some inconsistent system state - i.e. libraries used by the different processes.

That has come back, also affecting drop down menus like so:  In this case it is impossible to click on the invisible part of the drop down menu.

I also had this earlier and it went away after trying multiple times. I believe this could be a race condition or some background task which takes a long time....
