I'm not sure about ps3 pro tool, but the [multi_gameboot](https://github.com/aldostools/Resources/releases/download/XMB_Randomizers/install_multi_gameboot_req_dev_blind_enabled_for_4.89-4.91.pkg) replaces both (sound & animation) when you mount a PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP or ROM through webMAN MOD.

Run multiMAN's File Manager and delete the folder /dev_hdd0/tmp/gameboot After that you should be able to enable webMAN MOD without getting black screens.

The issue could be related to fan control. Try setting the fan to MANUAL or SYSCON mode in /setup.ps3 Remember to SAVE the settings after change the option.

You could try replacing the internal HDD (or format the current if you don't mind missing the saved content). This will force to format the HDD and reinstall the firmware....
