It seems my issue is related to #1159 but I can't figure out how that helps me. I am using Servlet 3.0 and have defined my package in web xml....

Unfortunately that is not an option for us. But we have worked around the issue for the moment. If you want you can close the issue.

I see now, that this is a known problem, at least with Scala, see #98 and #73 and #82. Still any idea how to workaround this with Kotlin?
