I had a similar problem when renewing. The certificate was uploaded, but the distribution wasn't updated to use the newly uploaded certificate and I had to do that manually afterwards....

It also works when using a USB-A to USB-C cable attached to a USB-C to USB-A adapter so that it doesn't try to negotiate USB-C.
