It works for me if I set `mermaid_output_format` to png or svg. But I want to use is on raw as well.

I found a workable [solution](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18024769/adding-custom-styled-paragraphs-in-markdown-cells) by altering the background color of a section.  I'll close the issue as this works for me.
