Yes, that would work. I'd prefer it if the list didn't grow indefinitely though, so maybe it should keep the last 20 or 30 and drop any older ones.

Figured out what the issue is and how to fix it. input-remapper stores a hash of the device name and certain other parameters in the input_combination part of the mapping....
