I was also having this issue on an external 4K monitor after the update to Sonoma 14.3 on a 2021 MBP with M1 Pro, but was able to fix it...
Has there been any update on this or can this get prioritized since it has been a couple years since this issue was opened? chef-client is now up to v17...
