Size and resolution are two different things. A 4.5 inch screen can have 1920x1080 resolution or 640x480 resolution. Same an image, can be a 2 meters by 2 meters image...

@liZe after inspecting both images using Preview Image Inspector, it turns out that the second image has EXIF data attached to it while the first image does not.
This is the SVG (screenshot) I want to convert to PNG:  With a DPI parameter of 96 and below everything looks ok...
