Interesting, just tried switching to `bash` and had the same result. Odd. OSX El Capitan Version: 10.11.5 (15F34) 

Using quotes doesn't work (tried that earlier too), pasting into spotify search box *does* work.  

Ok, after attempting this, it appears to be the **secret key** that is needed, not the publishable key.
