Are you using v8 or v6 of this library? v6 walletconnect seems broken In the case of walletconnect, I don't think you really need a key (but might be mistaken)...

To be honest, I just use https://react-hot-toast.com/ nowadays, it's docs are superb and using the toast with custom styling works out of the box.
