the motif annotation databases for the new 0.12.0 release
Hello, I had question in regard to the updated databases for the latest release. I see that the feather v2 files are now available on cisTarget databases. However, what about the motif annotation files (auxillary files) ? Where would i find these? Are the old annotations that we have been using that are found here : https://pyscenic.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html still valid with the new release?
Best, Devika
Hi, sorry after navigating the cistarget website i found the link for the motif2TFS here: https://resources.aertslab.org/cistarget/motif2tf/ . However, i dont know how to diffferentiate the different files within each species, what does the different m0.001 or m0.00001 signify? Some explanation about file naming format on the website would be helpful for the user to make the right choice.
Many Thanks Devika
Hi @deevdevil88 !
Im currently writing the documentation, it will be finished this evening/tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience! We will have a preprint in the next days that explain the new databases as well. If you want to keep using the previous versions of the databases, just click in mc9nr/v9 when selecting the database.

hi @cbravo93 Thank you for the quick reply! no inconvenience at all! i can see that the team is still finishing all the updates regarding documentation. So i will just wait a day or two, until the documentation is ready and also looking forward to the new preprint! As i want to use the latest databases, as clearly they have more annotations and motifs. Looking forward to using the latest dataabases!
Thanks! Devika
