Not looking easy currently. Because there is no home, there is no init.sh. I'd probably need a full image to write over serial, which is one job to figure out....

Pins are actually labelled on the board. I also get data on tx without connecting the 3.3v, just by grounding it. Ive only ever done this with arduino and routers...
