Can you give an example as to what could be blocking the camera? Also, I tried upgrading from 2.5.22 to 2.5.27 but it still shows 2.5.22 for some reason.

@msmeissn updated libgphoto2 to 2.5.27.1. On the camera, it shows "Connecting..." even though it gets detected on `gphoto2 --auto-detect`.
