I'm closing this issue since it's fixed on version 2.2.0. The above patch can be applied to projects generated from versions 2.0.0 and 2.1.0.

This issue was fixed [here](https://github.com/SalesforceCommerceCloud/pwa-kit/pull/742) and included in [v2.3.0](https://github.com/SalesforceCommerceCloud/pwa-kit/releases/tag/v2.3.0)

The issue is fixed in [v2.7.1](https://github.com/SalesforceCommerceCloud/pwa-kit/releases/tag/v2.7.1)
