Traefik is an HTTP/HTTPS only proxy. No Streams/TCP support as far as i know. ;) Maybe DeleGate (http://www.delegate.org/delegate/Manual.shtml?serv_FTP) is something you can use?

This happens propably because in system:update:xxx the Kernel is rebooted without any plugins (and a theme is a plugin), This also has other side effects (plugins not able to utilize...

+1 - Would be nice to hear the reasoning behind it... at least you guys must've had heated discussions regarding this. ;)
