Thanks for writing up the documentation for this @catamorphism. Is the plan to wait until this proposal manages to advance to stage 3 or 4 before merging?

If it's useful to anyone. The following utility function can wrap a function so that the receiver can be passed as the first argument, which currently works better for TypeScript...
