You can setup retention using `matrix_synapse_configuration_extension_yaml`

@stephen304 what setting are you talking about? "Never send encrypted messages to unverified sessions from this session"? Why do they have to tell everyone to change it? It is not...

@3nprob you are reading that backwards. It went from P3 to P1. (the P labels are not really used anymore, the S-Critical is the important one)

https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/pull/5078/ does this. The suggestion of making it `enable_federation_with_sqlite_can_cause_bad_perfs` can probably just be reverted to the original `enable_federation`.

It is actually on the App Store. It wasn't for the first few weeks M1 Macs were out but it is now.
