This does not happen on the official site. The logo on blowfish.page is a large 2000x2000 PNG image, yet the LCP is only 1.2s according to PageSpeed Insights.
I don't think it's necessary. I couldn't reproduce the LCP issue on PageSpeed Insights or Cloudflare Observatory, and applying the suggested changes didn't show any noticeable improvement in my tests.
