I am able to replicate this in OpenAudible 4.05 with as MP3 with both VBR checked and unchecked.

That's correct. And it also occurs when you use Library → Configure Integrations → Advanced → Import Steam Last Played as well as the regular library import.

I just installed the 2.9.0 version and issue is still occurring.
