I think this is a bug. I encountered the same problem, but after switching to version 2.5.0, I successfully connected to the IPv6 server.
> 你服务端是不是centos7系统？我试过centos7系统都不行，centos8以上可以。用nc或socat测试过，centos7更新kernel后udp收包都有问题。 centos7确实容易出这个问题，偶尔能连得上偶尔又连不上的，特别玄学。
