You'll save yourself many headaches.

I branched this off of https://github.com/Yubico/yubikey-neo-manager/pull/17 so I suggest that you merge that first.

I'm not sure I see the point in this. The recommended approach to install as a user is to just run the pre-compiled installer. For building the distributable binaries the Homebrew approach doesn't work, as the resulting binaries are very platform specific (plus there are several other steps to this, some of which are quite hard to script).
