Not on the same processor, but same situation four years later. Plugged in, fresh install, fully updated, and it wants to keep my processor at 800mhz.

I just experienced this same issue. Make sure you have `bcmwl-kernel-source` installed. Turns out you also need `gcc-12`. Not sure why it isn't being pulled in as a dependency. `sudo...
