The only thing that would mess with something are the modprobe configs.

Linux mint is on an old version of ubuntu but the ucm needs a much newer version of alsa-lib to work.
As I said last year, no mic is a gnome bug. Use pavucontrol to select the internal mic as the default mic and then it will show up in gnome.

You can delete the modprobe config (in `/etc/modprobe.d/`) to disable AVS.
Someone from intel said the stack trace from AVS is normal, for some reason.
Which kernel version?
I sent a patch to automatically select the sof driver on ADL and ADL-N, but that patch is only in 6.6 and newer.
