Okay, so show backface fixed up the patchiness and changing "alpha blend" to "alpha hash" fixed the invisible parts but then my transparent layers still look a bit forked 

note: on the transparent layer, I have to leave it as alpha blend as if i switch to alpa hash, it gives this 

Still nothing even after a few redos, I have to use it as it is; as there's no solution I could find
