I'd really like if removal of parenthesis was optional. Something in the config to either enable or disable removal of parenthesis.

@Barbossa's fix worked on this issue for me, but now it's saying `The display compositor is frequently crashing. Goodbye.`.

I have the same issue with the AppImage.
