I believe the [CryptoNote whitepaper](https://bytecoin.org/old/whitepaper.pdf), [RingCT](https://web.getmonero.org/resources/research-lab/pubs/MRL-0005.pdf), [Triptych](https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/018), and perhaps others, have explored a formal 'big picture' privacy matrix to some extent.
