I have the same issue. Not a regex or sed expert either, but I think that "\1" in sed -r "s/^$name=([\"']?)(.+)\1\$/\2/" shouldn't be there. Otherwise, sed is capturing both groups...
Ok, I took some time to look into it a bit more (caveat : I'm not a developer, and I haven't touched C++ in almost a decade). My understanding right...
Just tried : the pr does not change behavior. It works as expected on wayland.
