Maybe it's deprecated now but i used to Send/write nick as binary to the server ('NICK '+nick+'\r\n', 'binary');
I'm sure there is someone who can implement this new "tag/raw" command without using modules and What do we do if there is a bug in irc-message and the creator...
I got the same problem a while ago. I think the problem was that the "texts" was in a zip file
