Why `$this->ci->load->config('mahana');` wouldn't be in [this](https://github.com/jrmadsen67/Mahana-Messaging-library-for-CodeIgniter/blob/master/application/libraries/Mahana_messaging.php#L28) line?

It is better to write validation rule values as array than as piped string. First reason is to have consistency regardless we have to involve custom rule class or not.
