Same issue here, Information about tools and resources are not included in the prompt, so llm are unable to use mcp created by FastMCP.
Using low level api worked for me: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/python-sdk/tree/main/examples/servers/simple-resource/mcp_simple_resource This can be used as workaround
