It seems that quick fix could be not to use HOST IP but rather k8s Service that point to Consul Agents DS.

@chrisohaver sure thing! :) We have our internal dns server with zone eg. example.com. Then we have subdomains in example.com that are forwarded to our CoreDNS pods in k8s clusters...

I didn't know that it's possible to do this. :slightly_smiling_face: But I think that it could cause confusion on our users side. :slightly_frowning_face:
