Hi, I originally posted this as a reply to an old post, but not sure its "active" anymore. https://github.com/jasonrollins/shareplum/issues/80#issuecomment-668038392 Reposting here: I am having, what looks like, the same issue....

IfcOpenshell.open reads utf-8, but writes it differently making file unreadable.

i've made a script that reads an .ifc file. then adds a pset and properties( i dont make any changes to the original, just add). And writes a new .ifc...
