plugin installed via sidecar not working

When using the sidecar method the plugin doesn't show up in the GUI as well.

1.2.1 : db-sync error (Identity Connection Attempt Exception, destination LocalAddress "/ipc/node.socket" exception: Network.Socket.connect: <socket: 13>: does not exist (No such file or directory)

Was this ever corrected?
