Sorry for continuing to dig through wellys issues :) I think this would be great? What (if any) downsides are there to implementing this?

Does it make sense to make it Depth_ft or Depth_m? Might be too weird.

Read files with lots of blank lines in the data section

Would it make sense to strip out every blank line, or those are needed for other formatting needs?
