Not much cane be done with this without breaking existing worlds, the issue probably persists in 1.10 but will hopefully be fixed by the changes in 1.11.

Bug reports for the 1.10 version go to Growlith's repo, as you guessed. This repo is basically shut down atm.

You can grab the most stable version from Curseforge, or build a lovely cutting-edge version yourself from https://github.com/Growlith1223/ArsMagica2

It's a possibility, but highly unlikely, considering that the last update to the 1.7.10 version was more than 6 months ago, and 1.7.10 itself is nearing antiquity anyway.
