Known issue, not going to be fixed in 1.7.10 releases.

That's on Inventory Pets' end, the Night Vision component just applies the vanilla potion effect.

Can you try it without Optifine? I can't personally reproduce it.

Done in #1446, but no release for 1.7.10 has been made since then. This will probably end up being ported to 1.10 at some point, though.
