Stremio uses mpv, so in this matter we do not have any controll. Please ensurey you have enabled hardware accelerated decoding

Stremio shell is opensource, feel free to make PR that will fix deb package i think all needed files are here https://github.com/Stremio/stremio-shell/tree/master/distros/Ubuntu

@KenHV you don't need to pass path to the config-dir dir option, then it will use default mpv config path.
