I agree, I think we should focus the effort on the sysfs [`/sys/block/md*`](https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.19/admin-guide/md.html#md-devices-in-sysfs) parsing.

We use both (`uber-go/automaxprocs` and `KimMachineGun/automemlimit`) in Prometheus. They work very well to control resources.
