The issue still stands, but for now I have a workaround: 1. I created empty calendar 2. I set up [vdirsyncer](https://vdirsyncer.pimutils.org/en/stable/when.html) service, that periodically copies all events from girlfriend's .ics...

The workaround proposed above has a flaw: synced events also send invitation emails and thus it's not usable.

Ok I came up with another workaround. I built small middleware that fetches the ics and postfixes all event UIDs. This eliminates all UID collisions. https://github.com/Stopka/icsmw
