Closing as dead in the water, cleaning up the "open PRs" view. I can easily return to these notes in the "Closed PRs" view, so nothing is lost.
During QA for `0.4.4` I found that airplay1 consistently didn't work on first attempt, but did if you closed the stream and reopened it

I agree, I'm tossing this at the project board and we'll see what (if any) release this makes it into after a meeting
