"No APFS volumes or partitions" when trying to create installer disk

I tried this on 2 different Macs(2010 Mac Pro 5,1 running Catalina and a 2013 Mac Pro 6,1 running Big Sur), with 2 different USB drives (a 32G and a 64G. All with GUID partitions and formatted to APFS), same error. Clicking on the reload button does nothing.

Ok, I figured out what the problem was... the partition has to be normal APFS, not case-sensitive APFS...

Leaving this issue open since this is not mentioned in readme.
