I had the same issues on CentOS 9 Stream, where the default PHP version is 8.0 (so I'm pretty sure it'll also affect RHEL9 users). The error.log was spammed with...

@johnnovak The game runs fine on PCem (using a Pentium 166 MMX config), same Page fault crash on DosBox-X, lower cycles don't help.

One more thing, the game runs with MMX when using `[cpu] core = normal` (but it's kinda laggy then)
