Thanks for the help. The solution you suggested fixed the error, but it leads to a different error with the number of channels. 

We're using the images downloaded from [download_and_train.py](https://github.com/AllenCellModeling/pytorch_fnet/blob/master/examples/download_and_train.py) and cropping them in the x and y dimensions, so they do have at least 32 slices in Z. The model was trained...
